The Garrison Unit is organized and sized to operate in all conflict scales, which means that all employees are subject to service obligation and are therefore obliged to continue serving during heightened readiness.

Main Responsibilities

• Staff the FM security center in Kvarn and manage technical surveillance within Kvarn garrison
• Administration of CCTV, alarms, visitor management, and access control systems
• Assist operational commanders during missions
• Conduct access control checks
• Be able to join the Operationally Ready Protection Force (IBSS)
• Monitor alarms and access systems, fire alarms, and other technical surveillance
• Handle various communication systems

Service as an operational and security soldier can be both physically and mentally demanding.

Qualifications

• Swedish citizen
• Completed and approved basic military training (GMU) or previously approved military service
• Even those currently undergoing military service are welcome to apply!
• Good physical condition (physical tests will be conducted)
• Driver's license at least class B
• Good ability to understand and speak English
• Trained as a security guard
• Trained in AK

Meritorious

• Trained as a group leader
• Trained as an operational commander (C IBSS course)
• Trained as a military police officer
• Driver's license for personnel all-terrain vehicle
• Trained in AK 5 C
• Trained in Pistol 88
• Trained in close combat
• Trained in IDV
• Previous experience in security service and/or similar security work within or outside the Armed Forces

Other Information

Employment type: Fixed-term employment. A six-month probationary period applies.

Employment level: Full-time with a rotating work schedule including day, night, and weekend shifts; on-call duty may also occur.

Work location: Kvarn (Borensberg), travel to other locations may occur.

Start date as soon as possible or as agreed.

Individual salary setting applies.

The Skaraborg Regiment, P 4, operates from Älvdalen in the north to Remmene in the south. The leadership is located in Skövde where most of the conscript training takes place. The regiment's task is to recruit and train conscripts and personnel for two armored battalions, a heavy transport company, and a brigade reconnaissance company. P 4 is also responsible for a brigade staff that, in times of crisis and war, will lead large parts of the army's units.
